Teboho Mokoena Club Career

Mokoena was spotted during his schooling by Charles Molefe, a teacher who also served as a soccer coach at Bodikela Junior Secondary School.

His multitasking won him a spot in the Harmony Sports Academy, from whence he was recruited by SuperSport United. He advanced through the SuperSport United program and eventually led the team at the U-19 level.

Stuart Baxter moved him to the first team in 2016 and he made his professional debut in February the following year, replacing Cole Alexander as a late substitution in a 5–2 league triumph against Golden Arrows.

He received a nomination for PSL Young Player of the Season. Following his goal against Bloemfontein Celtic on 13 March 2019, he was named the league’s Goal of the Month for the month of January.

In South Africa’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win over Seychelles the following year, he scored his first international goal.
